Our project started at lunch...
In the summer of 2016, Alan & Jeremy were having lunch with a good friend, Solemn Oath VP Guy Eric Hobbs.
Alan was getting huffy that he couldn't get his pacifier beer, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, when he realized that Plank Road Tap Room didn't have it either.
Kindly overlooking the hypocrisy of Alan's complaining, Eric laid an idea on them that was the foundation of Plank Road's latest project. Eric pointed out that Alan & Jeremy have a deep appreciation for beers that have meaning to the industry and so do their customers. Why not throw one "heritage" beer up at a time with a notation on the list? Poof, minds blown.
The lads aren't known for limping in to a project, so the idea evolved in to installing a separate stainless steel beer tower with all of the bells and whistles and have new tap handles made for it.
We'll be unveiling the Heritage Handle on Saturday, January 7th. Stop on in for a pint of Anchor Steam Beer.
