One of our WKSS percs this year is that you won't have to miss us for as long as everyone else. On Friday, January 30th, we're open 5pm-9pm with Tom behind the bar…for MEMBERS ONLY.

Our WKSS Members can stop in at their leisure and enjoy some beverages. We will also have the WKSS swag ready for pick up and maybe even a game of BINGO to give away some fun merch!

Far more importantly, proceeds from this event will go directly to Go with the Flow!

Since 2015, Go With The Flow has been working to bring awareness to period poverty and squash the stigma often associated with menstruation. Go With the Flow social events are intended to empower and celebrate individuals. 

GWTF is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to help individuals living with homelessness and financial limitations obtain vital period products and toiletries to  restore confidence and dignity and enable success in school and the workplace. We focus on the needs of individuals in Kane County and cities on the fringe.  We are the only organization outside of the city of Chicago doing such work and not affiliated with any other organization.  
We’re excited to work again with Go With The Flow. They’re doing some important work and any little help we can add is our pleasure. Getting to work with Sarah and eat incredible cupcakes isn’t so bad, either.

Welcome to our 3rd Annual Plank Road Tap Room Sausage Social! The social is a celebration of all things sausage…oh, and beer!
Here at Plank Road Tap Room, we dig the long dog. We’re celebrating this proud pup breed with a day of doggie fun, delicious sausages and fine German beer.

Klaus Krombarker, of Krombacher spokespup fame, will be on hand as Master of Ceremonies along with his brother, Wilhelm.

The Day’s Events:

• Grilled meats of the sausage variety provided by Le Truff Noir

• 1pm - A Krombacher Pils Stein Holding Competition

• 2pm - An All-Breeds Fashion Show

• 3pm - Daschund Races (only 12 dogs max. We will have 3 heats of 4)

• 3:30pm - All breeds race (just for fun)

• 4pm - Event ends. Cool off in a puppy pool!

Race Rules

1. You will need two people, one to hold onto the dog at the start box and one to catch the dog at the finish line. If you do not have a second person let us know and we will call for volunteers from the audience, (but lack of familiarity with the end catcher may work against you!)

2. People do not run with the dogs from one end to the other. The fun part is to see which dogs run and which visit with their dog buddies instead of running.

3. We will run two qualifying heats, depending on the number of wiener dogs entered. Heats will have up to 4 max dogs at a time per judges discretion. A semi-final race with the fastest dogs will be run to determine dogs to advance to the grand finale race.

4. In the grand finale runoff, the dog that crosses the finish line first will win the title of Grand Champion.

5. We do ask that you do not toss your dogs to start the races as it is better for them and you as they do run a lot faster when their feet stay on the ground.

6. No throwing balls or toys as the dogs have to run on their own, please.

7. For their own safety, all dogs must be on leash until they are ready to run the race.

8. Any dogs that jump the start whistle will be disqualified at the judges’ discretion.

9. Race judges will have the final say on who wins, if finishes for 1st and 2nd, look too close to call.

10. Costumes encouraged. There will be prizes for best costume as well as 1st, and 2nd place finishers in the race.

Bring the pups (that do well in crowds) and enjoy a fun afternoon. Please remember that we are adults 21+ for this event without exception. Cheers!

Your voyage begins with a welcome hour featuring passed hors d’oeuvres paired with your first pour. From there, enjoy tastings of 20+ exceptional wines, ranging from bold reds to crisp whites and everything in between. As always, our focus is on quality over geography—only wines worthy of the journey make it aboard.

We’re honored to host the Shared Harvest Farm to Table Dinner at Plank Road Tap Room again the year! Join us on Sunday, September 27, 2026 for a truly special evening celebrating the season’s harvest and the farmers who make it possible.
