Off-Flavor Sensory Course

On Monday, January 9th, we're hosting an off-flavor sensory course.  Certified Cicerones Jeremy Teel and Alan Moreno will walk you through six of the most common off-flavors in beer as you taste them.

Whether you're looking to improve your abilities for a beer exam or would just like the opportunity to improve your beer experience, this training is for you.

The evening includes beer samples spiked with these common off-flavors:

D.M.S.

Diacetyl

Trans-2-Nonenal

Contamination/Infection

Acetaldehyde

Lightstruck

We'll be closed to the public that evening.  Ticket holders may arrive as early as 4 p.m. to grab a beer and relax.  We will begin the sampling at 6 p.m.  We'll hang out afterward if you'd like to drink away the off-flavors with some beer from a finely tuned draught system.
