Game Night - October Edition

Game night, back again. Time to sit down and play FTW!

Ahem, sorry about that.

Game Night returns for our October date!  Our friends at the Dice & Pints Society will be hosting and bringing in a ton of games to choose from. The public is welcome to join in the fun, and feel free to bring your own games as well!

Bring some snacks, grab a beer, and take a seat at one of the game tables for a night of fun.

Know someone or a group that loves board games? Share this event with them and let's fill the tables up this month!

FAQ

Q: What is the Dice and Pints society?

A: A group of family and friends that love board games and craft beer. Join our hosts Kerri and Josh at our once monthly game sessions at Plank Road Tap Room, the first Wednesday of the month. They love welcoming new gamers and helping them join in and learn new games.

Q: Should I bring anything?

A: Feel free to bring games if you'd like, but no worries if you don't have any. We bring a collection of games that can accommodate 2 or more players, and the majority of our games run from 10-20 minutes so everyone can try out multiple games. If you'd like to try out a new game but are unsure of how to play just flag down Kerri or Josh, they'd be happy to teach you or answer any questions.

Q: Does Plank Road Tap Room serve food/any alcohol besides beer?

A: PRTR doesn't serve food, but there are various restaurants in the area that deliver, such as Sammy's Mexican Grill and Bar (http://www.sammysmexicangrillandbar.com/) and Maciano's italian restaurant (https://macianos-elgin.foodtecsolutions.com/menu). Feel free to also bring in any snacks, food or non-alcoholic beverages. PRTR doesn't serve any other alcohol besides beer, and they do not allow for people to bring in their own alcohol, but they have a fantastic beer list and knowledgeable and friendly staff that can help you find a beer in line with your tastes and preferences.

Q: What kind of games do you guys play?

A: Each month we bring an assortment of games geared towards 2 or more players that can generally be played between 10-30 minutes, with a few games ranging between 45-1 hour for groups that would like to play a more involved game. These games cover various categories and themes so there's always something new and different to try.
