Oktoberfest: A Taste of History

  • Plank Road Tap Room 39W149 1/2, 39W149 Plank Rd, Elgin, IL 60124-8004, USA USA (map)

Wilkommen Alle to an evening of Trinken und Lernen (drinking and learning)!

We're asking a few of you to hang out with us on a Tuesday night to learn about and celebrate Oktoberfest.

We've asked our most trusted historian, Dave Oberg, to walk our guests through a concise and fun look at Oktoberfest through the years.

To compliment this look in to the “Wiesn”, we'll also have our resident Certified Cicerone®, Alan Moreno, tending bar and explaining the difference between the Festbier and Märzen styles of Oktoberfest lagers.

Now, obviously, the best way to teach is with a refreshed class. We have that covered, as well. Each ticket includes half liter pours of imported Bavarian Festbier and Märzen lagers (1 each). This way, you'll be able to taste the differences and also feel immersed in the story of the world's most famous festival!

Tickets are only $20 and include the historical conversation, style explanations AND a liter (total) of tremendous Bavarian bier!

We're keeping this classroom small, so smash the ticket button below and #relaxyoureherenow!
