CCBW Kickoff Event w/ Oskar Blues

Well, we wouldn't really say it's a kickoff.  On Saturday, May 21, we'll be starting our Chicago Craft Beer Week off a little late, but in a big way.

On Saturday, May 21, we'll be starting Chicago Craft Beer Week (#CCBW) off a little late at Plank Road Tap Room, but in a very big way.

Kevin Sweeney, our Oskar Blues guru/guy we like to drink with, will be hanging out with us as we tap a pin of Dale's Pale Ale conditioned with spruce tips.  We'll also be tapping a keg of Bourbon Barrel-Aged Death By Coconut!  Rumor has it the first few lucky people to order it will be served straight from a coconut. There will be some other OB drafts and $4.00 You-Pick-It-Cans available all day as well.

As if that's not enough, we've got Eddie and the Roaming Hog food truck heading out to supply your belly with all the pork it can handle. These guys were a big hit last time they came out, so be sure to come hungry.

Timing-wise, here's the schedule:

12:00 p.m.: we open to the public. $4.00 You-Pick-It-Cans from OB and several OB drafts will be ready to go
2:00 p.m.: tapping of Spruce Tip Conditioned Dale's Pale Ale pin cask
4:00 p.m.: tapping of Barrel Aged Death by Coconut
5:00 p.m.: Food Truck - The Roaming Hog

PARKING:

Parking may be limited at the tap room during events. Parking is NOT ALLOWED along Plank Road or at the Pingree Grove Fire District Station across the street. As always, we encourage carpooling and cab or Uber-taking.
