I'm focused on setting up a proper work space today, but I thought I would take a quick break. I grabbed a Prima Pils from the fridge and I'm taking a few minutes to tell everyone what a great time the Illinois Suburban Brewers Summit was.
First off, Nevin's Brewing in Plainfield was a great venue. I hadn't had a chance to get down there before and I'm glad that I finally did. They were very hospitable.
The folks from Ale to the 'Burbs put on a great soiree. I can't imagine bringing together that many people and all of those great breweries is an easy task... I guess I'll find out soon enough. I managed to snag a bunch of Jeremy Teel's (@SubBeerBia) time and had fun talking about what's going on now and what's coming down the line.
Dave from The Beer Cellar was cool enough to introduce me to a few people as well. Among those were Denise & Bill Powell of Beer House in Lombard. It was great to talk with people who have done what we are trying to do. I got some great insight and they couldn't have been nicer to a lightly buzzed me.
I had a ton of fun and talked to a lot more people. There's only so many names you can drop before you sound like a real (cough). Thanks to everyone who made drive worth it, and thanks to whomever is bored enough to be reading this.
Prost!
