No tickets necessary for this event...just show up, grab the tacos of your choice and grab one of our suggested beer pairings inside the tap room.

On tap will be:
- Charlatan
- Double Charlatan
- Fat Pug Oatmeal Milk Stout on Nitro
- Big Pulpy DDH IPA with Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado

The tacos will be available for you to self-pair and a detailed menu will be out soon. Stay tuned.

Our next pairing event is right around the corner, and it's one you definitely don't want to miss.

Join us on Tuesday, Feb 28th for a beer and cheesecake pairing. You read that right...cheesecake.

Tickets are $35 each and are available ONLY at the tap room, so come in asap and get them. The event will sell out quickly. Hesitation is your enemy.

We've partnered with Delish Cakes in Elgin to offer four types of cheesecake that will be paired with four 5oz pours of incredible beers by Perennial Artisan Ales, including Sump Coffee Stout and Abraxas, an Imperial Stout brewed with ancho chili peppers, cacao nibs, vanilla beans, and cinnamon sticks. Two other beers will also be announced later this week.

We'll start with a reception at 5pm and the pairings will begin at 7pm. We'll discuss each beer and why it was chosen to pair with each type of cheesecake. Afterwards, stick around for a while to try some other beers on our tap list.

Again: tickets are available for purchase only at Plank Road Tap Room. Grab a pint while you're there.

Other Note: gratuity for your bartender is not included in the ticket price, so please reward Gaby for her hard work! That's a whole lot of glassware to clean!

This Thursday, we're kicking off a brand new event series at the tap room.  Each week, we'll feature a special tapping and food truck, often including a suggested pairing.

Season one, episode one (S1E1) features one of our favorite beers, Firestone Walker's Bretta Weisse, a Berliner Weisse aged in 1,700-gallon French Oak horizontal foeders for 8 months.  Expect plenty of tartness with fruity esters and a dry, funky finish.

Mario's Cart will be filling our bellies out back, and we've chosen their ceviche tostada as our suggested pairing.  The tartness of Bretta Weisse should play very nicely with the citrus and seafood flavors from the ceviche.

These evenings will be flightless to keep things moving and conserve table space.

We'll kick off right when you're heading out of work at 5pm, so come in, grab a seat, and settle in for a flavorful ride.

We love many things in this world, but we love few things more than fantastic beer and great food.  Our beer pairing events in Elgin strive to bring you a unique flavor experience, and our next one is right around the corner.

Join us on Wednesday, September 7, for a beer and food pairing featuring two of our favorite local businesses: Toasty Cheese and Revolution Brewing Company.

We'll start at 5:00 p.m. with a reception for our guests, so come in a little early, grab a beer, and meet some fun people.  First course will be served at 7:00 p.m.  We'll plan to wrap up around 10:00 p.m., but we tend to hang out a little later and let things settle a bit before heading home for the night.
